About the academy
Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is a subsidiary of the Emirates Group located at Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport, with its own airfield, ATC tower and simulator facilities. It runs an ATPL-integrated cadet pilot programme using Cirrus SR22 G6 and Embraer Phenom 100EV aircraft, open to international applicants and UAE nationals (via a scholarship route).

What's the minimum age requirement?
Cadets must be 17.5 years old at the start of training and 18 by the time of first solo.
Do you accept international students?
Yes — the academy admits cadets from any nationality and provides residence permit support.
Are scholarships available?
Partial scholarships are available through Emirates Group sponsorship for UAE nationals and select GCC partners.
What happens after I graduate?
92% of cadets transition directly to Emirates Airline as Second Officers within 6 months of completion.
